What we collect on this website, why, and what we do with it. In plain English.

Who we are

Samson AI Co. ("we") is a small business based in Saco, Maine. You can reach us at Tommy@SamsonAIco.com with any question about this policy.

What we collect

  • What you type into our forms: your name, business name, phone number, email address, the best way to reach you, and your message.
  • Your answers to the free AI check, only if you send them to us for a plan or ask for the plain-English note. The check itself runs in your browser.
  • What you type into the chat assistant. It's passed to the AI service to write each answer. We don't save chat conversations.
  • Basic visit counts, such as which pages are viewed. We use privacy-friendly analytics that doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites.
  • Bot-check signals, when you send a form or a chat message. Cloudflare's Turnstile check looks at basic signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser type, to tell people from bots. Cloudflare says it doesn't use them to identify, profile or target anyone, only to block bots and improve its bot detection.

We don't use advertising trackers, we don't run retargeting ads, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

How AI is used on this site

The chat assistant and the plain-English summary in the free AI check are written by an AI model from Anthropic, the maker of Claude. What you type is sent to that service to produce an answer. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this information to train its models. The AI can make mistakes; for anything important, confirm with us directly.

Please don't type passwords, card numbers, Social Security numbers, or patient or health information into the chat or our forms.

How we use your information

  • To answer your questions and get back to you.
  • To prepare a plan or price for your business if you ask for one.
  • To improve this website and our services.

We won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be on one.

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run this website and our business: Cloudflare, which hosts this website, delivers our email and runs the bot check; Google, which runs our inbox; our phone provider; and Anthropic, the AI service described above. Each of them can use your information only to provide their service to us. We'll also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and check answers you send us are kept for up to 24 months, unless you become a client or ask us to delete them sooner. We don't keep chat conversations.

Your choices

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Tommy@SamsonAIco.com and we'll take care of it within 30 days.

Health and client information

This website isn't meant for patient or confidential client information. When we work with a practice or office that handles that kind of information, it's governed by a separate written agreement, and it stays in systems approved for it.

Children

This site is for business owners and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
